Outdoor Activities In Vancouver

Whale Watching

Starting in May and lasting until October or November for most companies, there are many whale watching tours in Vancouver. Killer Whales (also known as Orcas), Humpback Whales, Grey Whales, Minke Whales and Fin Whales (the second-largest type of whale after only Blue Whales). Several companies offer outright tours to see the whales, giving you plenty of options.

Visit Stanley Park

At over 1000 acres, Stanley Park is larger than the world-famous Central Park. There is plenty of wildlife to see, including eagles, bats, beavers, coyotes, seals, and more.  With scenic trails, beaches, dining areas, plenty of hiking trails and natural landmarks, you can have a good look at nature at its finest.

Visit A Museum

Vancouver has plenty of museums. There’s the Museum of Vancouver, the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Vancouver Police Museum, the Museum of Anthropology, the Vancouver Maritime Museum, the Roedde House Museum, and more. No matter what you’re interested in learning about and seeing, Vancouver has something for you.

Visit Granville Island

Contrary to its name, Granville Island is not an island; it’s actually a peninsula in the neighbourhood of Fairview.  With plenty of art, markets and restaurants, you can spend a day here absorbed in this place’s unique culture.

See Lynn Canyon

With one of the largest suspension bridges in the world, as well as trails and lots of waterfalls, this is a great place to see nature from a great view.
